“The Summer House of the Stars”: This couple wins the final
With Patrick and Antonia, will the last couple remaining from episode 1 prevail in the finale of the “Summer House of the Stars”? Or will the latecomers Christina/Marco or Vanessa/Diogo win? It’s going to be a tight box.
Last day in the “Summer House of the Stars” (Sunday, 8:15 p.m. on RTL, also on RTL+). But before the semi-finals and finals, there remains the “final of the original couples” (quote from Patrick Romer, 26): The Exit Challenge, in which Cosimo Citiolo (40) and Nathalie Gaus (31) face Patrick and Antonia Hemmer. (22) is battling for a spot in the bottom three couples.
The game is the same as the exit challenge between Stephen (48) and Katharina Dürr (39) as well as Kader Loth (49) and Ismet Atli (51) what seemed like ages ago: playing ball in a parkour full of mud and locked garden gates. The favorites Patrick and Antonia clearly won in two sets.
Couples tear each other apart out of boredom
Cosimo, who wanted to quit in the penultimate episode, is finally out. He doesn’t want to look for mistakes. “Actually, you’re already a mistake as a person when you were born,” the fan favorite philosophizes. Unlike most other couples in “Summer House” history, he considers himself a winner. Because the love between him and Nathalie has grown stronger here instead of weakening, he says.
The three remaining couples do not have this impression. Just out of boredom, they get angry in the now almost empty summer house. Christina Grass (34) and Marco Cerullo (33) playfully stress each other out. And the duo Diogo Sangre (27) and Vanessa Mariposa (29), who have been so harmonious so far, are bickering over whether Vanessa is in such a bad mood because she is having her days or just because. And Patrick complains, as always, about his supposedly unmotivated Antonia.
Catch-up is not enough in the semi-finals
Then comes the end: the semi-finals are approaching. Teams must use their fingers to grope the eggs along a lattice fence. The problem: The couples are each in a large jacket, each has only one hand available. Patrick holds back his relationship with nagging and scolding her. This is why the couple “Bauer sucht Frau” is clearly in the lead.
The other couples, on the other hand, constantly smack each other, as Patrick normally does against Antonia – except with them, both sides bicker. But then Christina and Marco go for it and close in on the leaders. Suddenly, Vanessa and Diogo take the hit and start a solid race to catch up. But it’s not enough. You can only maneuver 14 eggs to the finish line without accident, the other pairs each manage 15. So the last pair moved into the summerhouse is out.
The Grand Finale: The Established vs. The Latecomers
So it comes to the epic finale between Antonia/Patrick and Christina/Marco – the early couple against the latecomers. Patrick tries one last time to bite his girlfriend. But he has not yet been able to implement Mario Basler’s (53) advice to bring his girlfriend with him. He alone is to blame for this, instead of positively motivating Antonia, he simply belittled her. “The Maschine” Patrick’s advice for the finale: “Think about what Patrick would do now”.
In any case, Antonia clearly put the gas in the final. Pairs have to shovel sand into a huge bag. Puzzle pieces with the faces of the couples wait under the heavy container. They must arrange them correctly on a wall. Both pairs shovel sand at about the same speed. Marco and Christina are the first on the video wall. But then they suddenly poison themselves and lose their focus. Patrick and Antonia catch up – and win. Early favorites actually did. Although he got the brake pad on Antonia’s leg, Patrick will now think things over.
The couple’s final move in the finale is symbolic of their relationship throughout the season: to place the puzzle pieces in the top row, Patrick climbs onto Antonia’s back, who is crouched on the floor.
