Founded in 2019 by David Galliano and Omar Abu-Eideh, the two presented their interpretation of the MX-5 at the MX-5 meeting in Modena in 2022. Based on the first generation (NA) MX-5, the two transformed the roadster into an exotic single-seater.

Inspired by the 1995 Mazda Miata M Speedster, the 2000 Miata Monoposto and the 2015 Mazda MX-5 Speedster. As a result, the windshield was completely removed and the roof construction suffered the same fate. The doors were made narrower, an aerodynamic scoop was installed and the interior was discarded. All that remained was the driver’s seat, a rudimentary center console and the cockpit roof, which now faces the wind. The front and rear views as well as the body line remained intact – except for the trunk lid which now features a large integrated spoiler.
The chrome elements of the MX-5 NA were painted black, the 15 inch Enkei wheels are also black. In contrast, the body glows a squeaky yellow. After crossing the wide sill after opening the truncated door, the driver settles into an RCC racing seat and buckles in with a four-point belt before grabbing a small Momo steering wheel. NA with ND motor
And for this, the 2.0-liter Skyactive suction cup from the current MX-5 (ND) with 181 hp and 205 Nm was installed. Power from the engine is transmitted to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox and a self-locking rear axle differential, also taken from the ND. In addition to an optimized chassis, Gorgona has doubled the torsional rigidity. As a result, the sills are larger, stronger subframes were installed front and rear, and the underbody was reinforced. In addition, a roll bar under the scoop provides safety. An adjustable coilover suspension increases driving dynamics, an expanded braking system negative acceleration.
Contrary to its name, the NM Concept is not a pure study – if the demand is high enough. Then, Gorgona Cars wants to homologate the model and sell it to men or women in small series. The price of the model is 70,000 euros excluding taxes – excluding the cost of the donor vehicle.
