The vitamin-rich mixture is very easy to prepare – so all the steps only take about 5 minutes. Ginger-lemon water is also easily prepared in the morning for the whole day.

How to prepare ginger-lemon water:

  1. Depending on whether you want the drink lukewarm or cold, cool or heat about half a liter of water.
  2. For half a liter of water, you need a thumb-sized piece of ginger and lemon. Both ingredients should be organic if possible.
  3. Rinse ginger and lemon thoroughly with water. If you’ve chosen organic ingredients, they don’t need to be peeled.
  4. Thinly slice the ginger root or grate the bulb. In this way, the ingredients can go through the water more easily.
  5. Depending on whether you want to enjoy the drink warm or cold, first pour half a liter of hot or cold water over the ginger. Let the mixture infuse for about 15 minutes.
  6. Only when the drink has cooled down a bit and the ginger has had time to infuse, add the lemon. In this way, important vitamins are retained.

If you wish, you can sweeten the drink with a little honey. However, since honey contains a similar number of calories to sugar, it is best avoided for the weight loss effect.
