Baked Kohlrabi with Feta: Low Carb to Fall in Love With!

Low-carb cooking delights: our baked kohlrabi with feta cheese will fill you up – and make you so happy!

Anyone who eats low carb has surely added kohlrabi to their list of favorite ingredients. No wonder, though: kohlrabi is wonderfully versatile and can become a star in a wide variety of arrangements. Try our Baked Kohlrabi with Feta and Pepperoni today. It makes hearts beat faster, I promise!

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 kohlrabi (about 1 kg)
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • Pepper, freshly ground
  • thyme
  • 200g of feta
  • 2 green peppers
  • 1/2 lemon, juice
  • 2 tablespoons of sesame

Approximately per serving:

  • 329 calories
  • 25 grams of fat
  • 11 grams of carbs
  • 14 grams of protein

And here’s how it’s done:


  1. First, preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Meanwhile, remove the greens from the kohlrabi, peel the kohlrabi, remove the woody parts and rinse briefly under running water. Then place the kohlrabi in a bowl with 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Mix well and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Spread the kohlrabi with thyme on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and roast in the oven for an hour and a half.
  3. Just before the end of cooking, crumble the feta. Cut the peppers in half lengthwise, remove the seeds and cut the flesh into strips. Whisk the juice of half a lemon with the remaining olive oil, then season with salt and pepper.
  4. Remove the cooked kohlrabi from the oven, then cut in half or quarters as desired. Divide among four plates. Drizzle with lemon juice mixture, sprinkle with feta, pepperoni and sesame – and serve!
