There are good inexpensive fitness trackers out there. The Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 5, for example, is such a representative that costs only 25 euros. However, you will have to accept some compromises in this class in terms of functionality. An integrated GPS module, for example, is usually not found here.
The Hama Fit Watch 5910 is therefore a small surprise: the fitness tracker costs between 50 and 60 euros – including GPS. However, you have to do without other functions that are usually only found in more expensive fitness trackers. For example, an ECG measurement is missing, as is a sensor to determine the oxygen content of the blood. But the obligatory pedometer, a pulse sensor and a sleep analysis are also included.
In the test, the Hama Fit Watch 5910 is a bit mixed: The accuracy of the step count measurement is good overall, but the operation is not always optimal. Because some functions can be set via the associated app, others only directly on the device. Once you get used to it, it’s less of a problem.
The screen is decent, but it lacks an ambient light sensor. Battery life is also solid at 8.8 days without GPS – but the watch runs out of steam much faster with GPS.
Our conclusion at the time of the test:
“The Hama Fit Watch 5910 fitness tracker proves to be a solid sports companion in the test. The standard functions are available and the connection to the smartphone also works without any problems. However, the screen UI has minor quirks and there are some gaps in the overall gear. The display is good, but the text display is not always ideally resolved.
