This is one of the diseases that we can most easily prevent with a healthy lifestyle, but which can also be caused just as easily by an unhealthy diet: arteriosclerosis – also known as hardening of the arteries. However, it is not calcium that accumulates in the vessel walls, but LDL cholesterol, which gradually narrows blood vessels. For decades, the supply lines of our body and heart are compressed, which ultimately leads to a lack of supply. If the coronary arteries close, the heart muscle dies from lack of nutrients and oxygen. Result: heart attack. Here’s a rundown of foods that slowly clog your arteries over the years.
