So what exactly is a brand? Well let me give you a quick example. When you see the golden arches, what do you thing off? Cheeseburgers and french fries right? When you see a partially bitten apple, what company do you think of? Apple right? You see, companies like McDonalds, Apple and Target have been very successful at creating a brand. There are very few people who wouldn't recognize their logo. And because their logo's are so widely recognized, people happily spend their money with them. Thats the way you want it to be in your community. You want people to see your logo or trademark, and automatically know its you. You want them to automatically think of your products or services anytime they see your logo. For some reason, alot of small business owners don't think its important to build a brand. But it is a really big part of being a successful business. What you might not realize is that when people see your logo or slogan over and over, they begin to trust you. When someone trusts you, there is no limit to the amount of money they will spend. But it all starts with building brand awareness. A sidewalk sign makes this task pretty simple. All you need to do is attach your logo to the top of your sign and then place the sign in front of your business. Now anyone passing by will see your sign and your logo. Now, of course you will need to put more then just your logo on your sidewalk sign if you want to attract customers. Try advertising a huge, irresistible deal. Something like %50 off of everything or a buy one get one free deal. People love feeling like they are getting more bang for their buck. If you offer them a great deal, most of them will take it. With a sidewalk sign you pretty much kill two birds with one stone, because not only are you building brand awareness, but you are also building awareness of your store in general. You would be surprised how many people pass by your store every single day, and never even notice its there. A sign will help you capture their attention, and cause them to notice your business. Now that they notice your business, it is a bigger chance they will stop by. The hardest part is getting customers in the door. Once they are there, it is your responsibility to make sure you deliver the goods in an effective manner.
