The City of Brotherly Love, Birthplace of America, Cradle of Liberty, The Quaker City and Philly- these are just few of the names that are used to refer to the biggest city in Pennsylvania. Philadelphia is known to be a great holiday maker. As one of America’s greatest cities, it offers wide range of adventures. From arts to sciences, architecture to food, excursions to shopping- the city has great things in store for every interest. However, roaming around the city leaves an impression that its culture is BIG on arts and architecture. While it is home to a number of notable American artists, it is also a home for the country’s modern architectural wonders.

There are great attractions in Philadelphia for children, women, for men and for the whole family, the city of Philadelphia provides an adventure that appeal to everybody’s holiday pleasures.

Since the city took a significant part on American history, it has great offerings for museums and art galleries. Its abundance of place where arts and history combined are showcased makes it endearing to anyone whose interests lay on having quiet interludes with its rich culture and local artistry. For a budget conscious traveler, the Reading Terminal Market in the Center City offers dozens of restaurants where you can try out traditional Philadelphia meals at best value.

After marveling through the city’s popular spots, you may be off indulging yourself in one of Philadelphia’s famous foods. Dining in Philadelphia is quite an adventure. It is known for its traditionally made hoagies, scrapple and soft pretzels. It is home to the famous Philadelphia cheesesteak which means cheese and steak. This is actually a kind of sandwich that is made from a long Italian roll that is filled with thinly thin sliced pieces of steak and melted cheese with an optional addition of fried onions, sautéd green peppers, mushrooms and special sauces. This makes a satisfying treat as you roam around the city’s tourist destinations.

Attractions in Philadelphia boasts for its diverse options of restaurants and intimate dining venues. For that exclusive dining experience, you can make arrangements for meals served at the top of the city’s skyscrapers. With its fine selections of French, Asian, Spanish, Cuban and many more foreign restaurants, nobody will go hungry visiting the city. One of its famous high-end restaurants is the Morimoto, which is run by the celebrity chef Masaharu Morimoto.
